Pleasure You Imagine

pleasure coaching with LJ

ABOUT LJ

Hi, I’m LJ, I use they/them pronouns. I’m a trans non-binary sex educator and pleasure coach residing on unceded Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong country of the wider Kulin Nation (Naarm/Melbourne, so-called Australia).

I use somatic practices, practical exercises and in-depth discussion, allowing clients to understand and feel confident in their bodies, their pleasure and their identities.

I am currently studying a Graduate Diploma in Sexology at Curtin University and I have ongoing experience educating students from primary to university in all areas of sex education, including pleasure, gender identity, sexuality, porn, privilege and intimacy.

As a freelance contemporary dancer and dance maker with over eight years of experience (BPSA in Contemporary Dance, 2015, NZ), I use my somatic knowledge to inform my coaching.

If you would like to read my writing on gender and shame, go to my article for https://dripfeed.life/, ‘Shame: that burning feeling (and some tips to overcome it)’.

WHY IS PLEASURE IMPORTANT?

Everyone deserves pleasure in all aspects of their life. Sadly though, thorough and positive sex education often is not often taught in schools or to young people growing up. We learn and try along the way with what little knowledge we are given.

I am invested in ensuring there is a place to talk about pleasure, to take up space, to feel positive in (and about) our bodies, and to learn how to communicate what we do and do not want.

We are all on different sexual journeys, we all have different experiences and want different experiences. I’m here to help you figure out what your sexual journey is, not what other people expect it to be.

I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which I reside and work, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation and I pay my respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging. It always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
